If you want to keep the spacing even on an operable grommet drapery, you can set fixed spacing by tacking gimp braid, twill tape, cord or grosgrain ribbon on the back, below the grommets That is a very easy solution and will keep the grommets evenly spaced when opened and closed.

Step 2 after a couple of days use a steamer to carefully remove wrinkles from curtains if they are made of natural fibers like cotton. Be sure to keep the steam head moving to avoid scorching.

There is a large ring at the top of the curtain that fits over the rod, and the hooks on the curtain are attached to this ring. The hooks are also attached to smaller rings, called “c” rings, which are spaced evenly along the large ring. When the curtain is hung, the “c” rings slide along the rod, holding the hooks in place and allowing the curtain to be opened and closed easily.
There are many different types of c rings, but they all work in a similar way. The ring is inserted through the top of the fabric and then pulled through the hole in the bottom of the fabric. The c ring is then pulled through the top of the fabric again and the process is repeated.
